You Are Here: 2006 NYS Webmasters' Guild "Best of the Web" Award Winners
The Forum would like to recognize the outstanding work done with the innovative use of web technology by state and local governments. A Call for Nominations was published in the June Open Forum and on the Forum web site. To be eligible, sites had to be functioning at the time of the nomination and had to be in compliance with NYS Office for Technology Statewide Technology Policy P04-002 and NYS Mandatory Technology Standard S04-001 for Accessibility. A panel of judges reviewed each of the sites nominated. Evaluation criteria included Innovative Use of Technology, Value to the Client, and Cost Efficiency to the Agency. The following awards were given:
Local Government
- Monroe County Department of Information Services For the Monroe County Website,
State Government
- The Center for Technology in Government For the XML Toolkit,
- The Department of Civil Service For the Civil Service Public Web Site.
