2007 NYS Webmasters' Guild "Best of the Web" Award Winners
The Forum would like to recognize the outstanding work done with the innovative use of web technology by state and local governments. A Call for Nominations was announced in the June via the Forum listserv and on the Forum web site. To be eligible, sites had to be functioning at the time of the nomination and had to be in compliance with the OTF Statewide Technology Policy P04-002 and Mandatory Technology Standard S04-001. A panel of judges reviewed each of the sites nominated. Evaluation criteria included Innovative Use of Technology, Value to the Client, and Cost Efficiency to the Agency. The following awards were given:
Local Government
- Monroe County Department of Information Services for the Property Portal
State Government
- Department of Health Patient Safety Center for the New York State Nursing Home Profile Web Site
- Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance for Training Space
- Department of Environmental Conservation for NYSDEC's Public Website
