Intelligent Community Forum (ICF)

Whether in industrial or developing nations, communities are challenged to create prosperity, stability and cultural meaning in a world where jobs, investment and progress increasingly depend on broadband communications. For the 21st Century community, connectivity is a double-edge sword: threatening established ways of life on the one hand, and offering powerful new tools to build prosperous, inclusive economies on the other. The Intelligent Community Forum seeks to share the secrets of success of the world's Intelligent Communities in adapting to the demands of the Broadband Economy by conducting research, hosting events, publishing newsletters and producing an international awards program.



New York State Internal Control Association (NYSICA)

NYSICA advocates for strong internal controls and internal control training. NYSICA also serves as a liaison between its members and NYS Control agencies.

 

NYS Local Government IT Directors Association

Logo for NYS Local Government IT Directors AssociationThe New York State Local Government Information Technology Directors' Association (NYSLGITDA) (External Link) is a 501(c)(6) membership-based nonprofit organization incorporated in 1995 and dedicated to the coordination and improvement of information technology in all types of governments in New York State. The Association Membership is open to any NY State Municipality, School, Community College, BOCES or Authority. The NYSLGITDA accomplishes its mission thorough a membership which includes over 70 municipalities conducting semi-annual conferences, providing a dynamic listserve and actively participating in the New York State Chief Information Officer's CIO Council. These methods encourage effective communications between local government technology leaders and New York State Departments thus mitigating the impact of NYS system implementations and improving the intended results. The strength of the Association is the dedicated, enthusiastic involvement of the members.
