NY Alert Discussion
Kevin Ross, SEMO, provided a presentation and overview of NY Alert. The system is often used as an augmentation to an emerggency alert system (EAS) broadcasts. Kevin discussed the architecture, rollout, pending updates and marketing plan for NYAlert that includes expanding the system to other states. That usage aside, there is great potential to use the system for BC/COOP purposes. The meeting focused on a facilitated discussion with the following objectives:
- The NY Alert program and its vision
- Sharing of experiences and hear recommendations from Kevin and feedback http://www.nyalert.gov/
