Introductions:

  1. We welcomed the new members: Deb Best (SFS), Roxanne DeHamel (DOH) and. Dan Hosmer (DSP).

Ongoing Business:

  1. OFT Discussions: Marilyn Cordell shared the 508 Policy Update: CIO/OFT has released a revised NYS Policy, NYS - P08-005. This policy supersedes all prior revisions and requires compliance with Section 508 Subpart B, section 16.1194.22 and Subpart C, section 1194.31 and can be found at the following link: http://www.cio.ny.gov/Policy/NYS-P08-005.pdf
  2. Agency Consulting:
    1. SUNY Construction Fund had a high definition question.
    2. DOT policy clarification regarding section 21.
  3. Interactions with Other Forum Work Groups:
    1. Emerging Technologies Work Group - Web 2.0 presentation on 6/22/2010 from 9:00 AM until 12:15 PM.
  4. Farewell to Jeff Bennett on Friday, June 18th. Estelle brought a cake to celebrate Jeff's retirement.
  5. Section 508 - Estelle to have revisions to the draft analysis by June 16th.

New Business:

  1. Work Group Initiatives and Future Presentations:
    1. Search Engine Optimization and Accessibility - Planning for the Fall of 2010-2011 Forum Calendar (Jim C, Mike S to support) Planning Sheet (Joel).
    2. Possible Web 2.0 Refresh (Re-visited) with the Webmasters' Guild. Many ARIA features have changed since the last presentation. A re-address of issues that made the technology inaccessible needs a re-evaluation. Call needed to Corporate Round Table. (Jim C.).
    3. Accessibility 101 Training- Since the last session was in 2008, (Debi) Curriculum needs updating. A potential presentation for the 2010-2011 Calendar.
  2. Next Work Group Meeting is scheduled on July 8, 2010 at 2:30 pm at the Forum Offices.
