NYS Office of General Services - SEPONS

Carla Chiaro, Dpty Commissioner, gave an introduction to the group

Eliel Mamousette, Asst Dir. Technical Servces, gave a ppt presentation on SEPONS (State Electronic Procurement Opportunity Notification System) . Discussion was had on the rapid speed and close collaboration that has made the effort a success. Discussion followed on the future of The Contract Reporter and the relationship between the two services.

Leo read notes from Joanne Riddett, ITCR Liaison to the Exec Council

Web 2.0 was discussed, Corinne Brennen spoke, and this served as the Emerging Technology report as well.

Reminder that dues for the year are due Oct 1, 2009

Metro NY update, and mention of the Cloud Computing Workgroup that is forming.

Work Group Reports - New co-chairs will be installed 10/9/2009All Work Groups provided a brief update.

SML - focus on strategic planning - Still looking for an add'l co-chair
Webmasters Guild - social media, presentations from Sch'dy Co and Senate.

ITCR - The previous night's event was at the Brown Derby. Next date to be announced.
