IT Procurement Committee Initiatives and Accomplishments

Participated on multiple panel forums throughout NYS on the merits of sun setting or not sun setting the procurement stewardship act.
Active in attempting to understand and disseminate information to the ITCR on the new lobbying laws.
Held the annual IT Contracting Symposium. Targeted market was Attorney's, CIO's, procurement staff. Agenda focused on Procurement lobbying law, best practices in large IT procurements, key procurement issues, and information security breach and notification act. Attendance was at capacity, very well received event.

Hold our annual IT contracting Symposium in early 2007 (topics TBD) and expand the participant audience to include IT corporate representatives. (10)
Work with the new administration in 2007 on concerns/issues of IT procurement with the State of NY. (6)
Conduct a procurement lobbying training session for IT corporate representatives. (9)
Conduct a session on the new state finance law purchasing thresholds. (1)
Conduct a session on the new personal service contract reporting law(s). (3)
Conduct a session on federal procurement-related requirements. (3)
Revive the "Doing IT Business with NYC/NYS" Seminars.
