December 16, 2009 IT Procurement Committee Meeting Summary

Attendees: Steve Harkins, Renee Roth-O'Neil, Peter Chynoweth, Bob Wahrman, Steve Tuite, Jana Behe, Todd Vandervort, Christine Irvine

Discussion of three events:

  1. There was a Procurement Council meeting in December that referenced a vendor session on SEPONS that Vendors would be called in to ask questions. We talked about piggy-backing on that session instead of doing our own. We were going to ask Diane Taylor what the changes to the contract reporter were and how those changes impact SEPONS and if that alone was enough to have an event.
  2. Debriefing - date picked of February 25 - however that date needs to be confirmed with OSC and Procurement Council. We suggested speakers Joan Sullivan to participate on behalf of OSC and Gerry Girard on behalf of the Procurement Council. Both speakers need to confirm their willingness to participate and confirm the date is OK
Todd Vandervort secrured meeting room 6. If all works out it would be an 8:30 registration, 9:00 start and wrap up around 11:30
First part of meeting is to discuss the Debriefing Guidelines, what they should not disclose, what they can, and what is grey
    Provide a historical perspective
Create a panel or invite other state agencies to provide a panel discussion
  3. Doing business with NY State - were going to look up previous sessions as a starting point to putting an agenda together.

As for other news the state has approvals to hire up to 500 current it contractors into temporary state positions that will be 60 month terms.
