Today there are a variety of wireless devices on the market including wireless Internet, cell phones, pagers, wireless computers, Personal Data Assistant's (PDA's), and more. Understanding wireless security and how to protect yourself, your computer and your devices is the first step in creating a secured environment for your home, school or business. Computer users must be knowledgeable about wireless and the potential security risks and vulnerabilities, including some of the following:
- Computer worms and viruses
- Online fraud
- Cyber attacks that can shut down businesses
- Compromised integrity and privacy of vital data
- Damaged reputation and image
