PM Community Of Practice (PMCOP) Meeting: Overview of New York State Projects
Session Overview
The next Project Manager Community of Practice Meeting will be held on May 20th. The session will be the first in a series of meetings that will provide an overview of major New York State projects.
Mahesh Nattanmai, from Division of Budget (New York Financial Management System), is the Project Manager for the Financial Management System Project (FMS). Mahesh will be providing an overview of the background, challenges and status of this major undertaking in addition to reviewing how Project Management is being applied to the project.
In March of 2007 legislation was signed initiating sweeping reforms to the Workers' Compensation system. Jon Haverly, from Keane, Inc. will provide an overview of how the Workers' Compensation Board has applied Project Management to meet this challenge.
This is a great opportunity to learn about current New York State projects and how Project Management techniques are being applied!
