The Forum's Small/Medium/Local Government Agency Committee is hosting two similar sessions on Shared and Managed IT Services - May 6th session in Saratoga Springs targeted for Local Governments and May 7th in Albany targeted for NYS Agencies.

- Managed Services is the process by which organizations outsource certain day-to-day IT tasks, organizational functions or business processes to a third party who is expert in that particular area. Managed Services relationships typically allow government organizations to focus on core responsibilities, while the ongoing services effort of monitoring and maintaining select computers, networks and software is provided by a Managed Services Provider (MSP).
