An Introduction to the jQuery JavaScript framework
(with a look at plugins and some advanced features)

It's been a while since we've had a hands-on demonstration session dedicated to Web scripting, but it's been worth the wait as our final meeting before the summer hiatus focuses on jQuery. Topics include:

- Brief description of the DOM
- How to load jQuery into your site
- Document Ready function
- Basic selection
- Basic functions
- .add/remove class
- .slideup/down
- .html
- and more
- A quick look at a few plugins (ColorBox, tablesorter, ListNav, qTip) and a demonstration of how easy plugins are to implement on your site using jQuery, mostly demoing the use of object literals to define plugin properties.
