Project Management Workgroup Presents:

Fundamentals of Project Management for the Acting PM

Session 6: Procurement & Cost Management

Procurement Management
Procurement Management is the knowledge area involved in purchasing or acquiring products, services, or results from outside the project team, including developing and administering the procurement documents.

Cost Management
Project budgets are approved as part of a lengthy and perilous budget cycle. Accurate cost estimation and rigorous cost control are crucial to avoiding uncomfortable discussions with the project sponsor, and having to "go back to the well" for additional funds.
