Call for Presenters

The NYS Forum Business Innovation & Emerging Technologies Workgroup is soliciting presentation submissions to be considered for a session on Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

IMPORTANT: Please read the information below thoroughly for details regarding how to submit your presenter information, what to present, important dates and rules of engagement.

Session Description

The objective of this session will be to examine the benefits and challenges of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in the government enterprise solution space.

Content may include - (These are only examples. Please provide ideas on content that is relevant for the objective of the session.)

  • What are the benefits of RPA?
  • What factors should be considered when determining if RPA is appropriate?
  • RPA Business use cases in Government
  • Business Process Management and RPA, how do they overlap / connect?
  • What is the relationship between Intelligent Automation and Robotic Process Automation?

Target Audience

  • NYS Solution Developers, Architects, Operations staff, IT managers and Security teams

Format: (Final format will be determined after review of submissions)

  • Number of Speakers / Facilitators to be determined upon review of submissions
  • 20 minutes of informative content presentations per speaker or content areas addressed
  • Facilitated audience discussion

Please Note: To be considered for this session, your submission must document your presenter's expert level knowledge and expertise on the session topic. Provide sufficient detail on your presenter and area of expertise to assure a fair review of your participation.

All presentations must be vendor neutral. Presentation content will be vetted by members of The NYS Forum Work Groups hosting this event. Feedback and recommendations regarding final presentation material will be provided by this group.


Presentation Guidelines - Rules of Engagement

  • Presentation must be made using The NYS Forum's Power Point template.
  • Presenter corporate logo and contact information should appear on the first and last Power Point slides only. Corporate logo must not appear on each individual slide.
  • The presenter must discuss the topic at an expert level, and direct the presentation toward the specific targeted audience identified.
  • This session is planned for 90 - 120 minutes. 15-20 minutes of prepared content will be expected of each presenter.


  • 12/20/2018 - Call for presenters distributed to ITCR Membership.
  • 1/11/2019 - Deadline for proposals from ITCR Members
  • 1/18/2019 - Selection/notification of presenters PLEASE NOTE: All Power Point presentations MUST be made on The NYS Forum Power Point template which will be provided by the workgroup member coordinating this event.
  • 1/25/2019 - Deadline for first draft of presenter Power Points.
  • 2/1/2019 - Deadline for final presentation Power Points.
