Meeting Overview

Hot off the heels of our Drush meeting, we're getting Sassy! Join us as we start with another Drupal beginner session, and end with back-to-back Sass workshops.

Everyone is using Sass, so why aren't you?

Sass (Syntactically Awesome StyleSheets) is described as: "CSS with superpowers." Sass is the most mature, stable, and powerful professional grade CSS extension language in the world. By writing a few lines of Sass, and compiling it to CSS, you can create flexible, easily modifiable StyleSheets. The first Sass workshop will get you started with Sass. The second will teach you some advanced techniques. We want you to take what you learn to work and use Sass today!

This presentation will highlight what business rules are, where they can be found, and how they should be documented and maintained by:

  • Drupal Beginner's Corner
  • What is Sass?
  • How do I use Sass?
  • What can I do with Sass?
  • How will Sass make my development easier?

Featured Presenter:

  • Christofer VanWormer, Web Developer, NYS ITS Public Safety Cluster
  • Courtney Jordan, Front-End Designer/Developer, NYS ITS Revenue and Transportation Cluster
  • Unconfirmed Third Presenter
