Session Description

With a continued focus on data analytics, the NYS Forum seeks to hold a session on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 on current and best practices in pattern recognition, anomaly detection, and data visualization.

Presenters are invited to present projects where statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and artificial intelligence were used to identify, predict, and visualize patterns and anomalies in large datasets. Presenters should discuss the application of these techniques to specific situations such as fraud, trends, or clusters and provide use cases.

This session will inform the larger NYS government community of the tools and practices in pattern and anomaly detection and visualizations of data, why it is important, and how it can be applied effectively.
