Becoming a Successful Business Analyst

Who is a successful BA? What is his / her back-ground and qualification?

Good business analysts understand how to develop stakeholder relationships and work with stakeholders to elicit requirements. However, eliciting requirements is only one part of good business analysis. Requirements also need to be planned, analyzed, documented, communicated, managed, tested and verified through the project life cycle to realize the total benefit of good business analysis. This seminar emphasizes the technical effort as well as providing real-life practice in effective human relationship building, communications planning and day to day execution.

With that in mind the MATRIX and Project Management workgroups will be hosting a half day session on "Becoming a Successful Business Analyst." The seminar will consist of two individual presentations each followed by a short question and answer period. The seminar will conclude with a panel discussion of agency representatives providing answers to questions from the audience.
