September 9, 2014
9:30 am - 4:00 pm (9:00 am Check-In)

The Graduate Center CUNY
Martin E. Segal Theatre
365 Fifth Avenue (between 34th & 35th Streets)
New York, NY

The time is now to have meaningful discussions around NYS's Terms and Conditions - not when you are in the middle of a negotiation.

The goal of this workshop is to create a neutral environment where attorneys from the public and private sectors can finally sit down together in a non-negotiating setting. The day will be focused on meaningful discussions around certain NYS Terms and Conditions that repeatedly give rise to debate and delays between the parties when negotiating a statewide agreement or an individual purchase. Terms for discussion will include: Confidentiality Clauses, Licensing, Indemnification, Insurance, Liability, Dispute Resolution processes.

Sergio Paneque, Chief Procurement Officer, NYS Office of General Services, will outline the workshop learning objectives with the goal to create a better understanding of NYS Terms and Conditions that will enable success for future efforts. Learn about the interests your counterpart in the public or private sector is charged to protect and share your thoughts and perspectives.

Who should attend?

This workshop is geared toward attorneys who are representing the IT contracting interests of the public and private sectors. This is not for vendor account managers, technical representatives, business development managers/directors, or other similar roles.
