Both the Federal Government and New York State now mandate that public sector web sites be accessible to individuals with disabilities. As more public sector information and services migrate to the World Wide Web, making sure that all segments of your potential audience will be able to find and access the information they need is becoming increasingly important.

This session offered specific guides, resources and techniques for ensuring that your web site is accessible to all and insights into how web developers can ensure that their web site or web-based application isn't raising barriers instead of eliminating them.

We explained the issues, demonstrated how to use automated software to test your HTML code, and how to assess those factors that automated testing can't adequately judge.
