Intelligent Automation / Robotic Process Automation

On February 7th, 2019, the NYS Forum''s Albany Business Innovation & Emerging Technologies Workgroup hosted a session on Intelligent Automation / Robotic Process Automation at the NYS Forum office in Albany.

Intelligent Automation (IA) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) - This session aimed to answer the following questions: What are these new technology models? What can they mean for addressing the business challenges in government? How will they affect enterprise development processes? What are the triggers for considering IA or RPA as solutions for public sector problems?

Spearheading this discussion were presenters Chris Rose, Principal, Deloitte Consulting Strategy and Analytics and Melissa Edwards, Managing Director, Intelligent Automation, KPMG. Both provided an overview of the IA / RPA strategies and approaches organizations are using to apply enterprise automation solutions for solving public sector business and customer experience problems. Understanding the importance of business value alignment in enterprise solutions is critical to starting and sustaining IA / RPA programs. Additionally, the speakers shared practical real time examples of how public sector organizations are using IA / RPA solutions for enhancing government solutions.
