An Invitation to Join our Professional Network

On February 10, The NYS Forum Work Group Co-Chairs convened the first of what will become regularly scheduled information sharing sessions. These sessions will serve as a platform for Work Groups to identify common issues, opportunities and needs, and explore areas of cross-collaboration.

Deborah Buck, Interim Executive Director, provided an overview of the Forum today and a glance toward future initiatives of the organization as a whole.  A co-chair from each of the 11 Work Groups provided an update on initiatives underway and events and strategies under consideration.

The NYS Forum, Inc has long been recognized as a valued partner in fostering the understanding, development and effective implementation of information technology policies and practices in New York.  Future co-chair meetings will provide a vehicle for Forum leadership and staff to effectively collaborate to solidify and expand the offering of quality and timely program opportunities for Forum constituents and stakeholders.

Corinne Brennen, DiRAD and Corporate Co-Chair of the Emerging Technologies Work Group, has been developing The Forum's presence on both LinkedIn and Face Book.  With the growing popularity of social media, The Forum is implementing these tools as a means of increasing visibility and awareness of Forum events.

The NYS Forum upcoming events will be posted on Linkedin.  Watch for updates from your connections or search on "NYS Forum."  We hope that you will "Like" us on Face Book, too.
