The NYS Forum PM COP: Spotlight on New York State Projects

Session Overview

We are happy to announce that the first NYS Forum PM COP Project Spotlight of 2011 will be held on June 16th at the Empire State Plaza.

Within the NYS Department of Health (NYSDOH), the New York's Certificate of Need (CON) process governs the establishment, construction, renovation and major medical equipment acquisitions of health care facilities, such as hospitals, nursing homes, home care agencies, and diagnostic and treatment centers. The CON system is being built largely by an outsourced team. Brenda Breslin (NYSDOH) and Chris Foster (CGI) will show how DOH has built in knowledge transfer from the contract staff to state staff for long term system maintainability.

The NYS Department of Motor Vehicles will formally launch MYDMV in June. MyDMV enables DMV individual customers to create secure online services accounts. Upon verifying their identity with DMV, and logging into MyDMV using a NY.Gov username and password, customers can use MyDMV to view and update information on their own DMV records, perform transactions that would otherwise require a phone call, a paper mailing, or a trip to a DMV office, and receive real-time communication from DMV electronically. Project Manager Luke Potoski will provide an overview of this exciting project!

Attendees will earn 1.5 PDUs!!!!
