PMO Roundtable Meeting Registration

The next PMO Roundtable meeting will be centered around the concept of the Project Management Office serving as "institutional memory" of an organization.

Every time a project is nearing completion, there is an opportunity to capture what went right and what could have been done better. However, even if the Project Closeout happens as suggested in the NYS PM Guidebook, in time the lessons learned will be lost, and best practices will cease to be applied, unless a PMO is there to capture and preserve them, and to continue building upon and applying them to all future projects.

Sara Holmberg from Workers' Compensation Board, Vivian Conboy from Department of Taxation and Finance and Connie Benson from the Office of the State Comptroller will share their agency practices with Project Closeout and using a PMO to build and make use of that storehouse of institutional memory.

As always, this is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and receive assistance with your PMO issues from your colleagues.

PMPs - Don't forget that you can earn at least 1 Professional Development Unit - just for attending the PMO Roundtable meeting! To receive an e-mail documentation of the PDUs please indicate the PMI Credential you hold in the registration area under "Review/Edit Contact Information."

We hope to see you at the PMO Roundtable on November 28th!
