June Agenda:

Julie McCoy (Microsoft) will present a comprehensive framework for data protection and governance. Julie will frame how, in a modern work context, older models of tasking IT with figuring out everything are giving way to broader stakeholder participation, and organizing solutions into layers of defense to prevent, detect, and investigate inappropriate data handling.

Speaker bio: Julie McCoy began her career humbly in university computer labs supporting Windows, Macintosh, and various command-line operating systems. After moving to New York City, she held supporting roles in both enterprise and small businesses in the legal, media, financial, and education industries.

Julie completed her MBA in 2011 at New York University’s Stern School of Business, focusing on Finance and Strategy.

Julie currently works at Microsoft as a Technical Specialist for Compliance.
