Program Integrity in the AI Era
Guest Speakers:Carol Tannous, Managing Director in Deloitte’s Government and Public Services PracticeKishan Patel, Solutions Architect at Databricks
State and local agencies are being asked to do more with less, while protecting public resources, maintaining compliance, and delivering services effectively. At the same time, fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) risks are evolving, data volumes are increasing, and policy and regulatory environments continue to shift. This session will explore how analytics, AI, and modern technology can help organizations move from reactive detection to proactive prevention and faster resolution, strengthening operational integrity and public trust.
We’ll discuss how leading organizations are expanding integrity efforts beyond traditional detection methods and toward continuous monitoring. With the help of AI, agencies can better identify anomalous activity and strengthen oversight. We’ll also examine emerging risk areas and how agencies are responding.
The session will also highlight how AI can enhance, not replace, policy, compliance, and investigative judgment. Finally, we’ll outline a practical, integrated approach built on three core capabilities: a business rules engine to encode policy and risk logic, case management to turn analytics into action through consistent workflows, and a modern data architecture to unify data, support analytics at scale, and enable governance.
