The objective of this session is to share experience with project management software beyond Microsoft Project, including best practices for use. For projects to be successful, they must meet project objectives within the budgets and timeframes expressed to management. Although change is a given in every project, following a strong project management methodology supported by excellent software products for scheduling, resource balancing and milestone dependencies can help reduce risk and make a project successful. 

The NYS Forum welcomes presenters to participate in a series focused on Project Management products, including seasoned project managers or SMEs on mature project management products, that can speak to: 

• An overview and comparison of mature and emerging Project Management software products in the marketplace, their features, pros/cons and appropriate use based on industry, size and project complexity
• Successful best practices utilizing Project Management software products to address specific challenges, such as scheduling, resource management and balancing, cost management, using real world examples
