RFP Question & Answer Process and Content:  Group open discussion regarding best practices and areas for improvement during the questions and answers phase of public sector IT procurements.   The group seeks input and experiences from both public sector buyers / procurement professionals and sellers / bid respondents that may mutually improve this critical and often only means of communication and clarification during an active procurement process.  Procurement professionals know they often face answering voluminous questions (or sometimes not nearly enough) to ensure they receive the highest value bids.  Vendors know they need specific responses to properly scope and price what they hope is the winning bid.  This should make for an interesting conversation!
Sample topics:

• Is one round of Q&A sufficient?
• How can government buyers provide answers to large volumes of questions, yet leave enough time for respondents to build those answers into proposals – all in a finite time frame?
• What are best practices to minimize the number of questions in the first place?
• How to handle difficult / sensitive topic questions.

As of February 10th Governor Hochul lifted indoor mask or vaccine requirements for businesses statewide.  Following the revised state policy, masks will be optional for NYS Forum events.  We will continue to arrange seating to observe 6 foot social distancing where possible.   For more info on the State’s policy, view the Governor’s Feb. 10th release here
