“Secure Access Service Edge” SASE

Speaker: Dave Davis, Solutions Architect - Lumen Public Sector

Working from home over the Internet and adoption of Software as a Service (SaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) has changed where data resides and needs to be protected.  Bad actors are well aware of the vulnerabilities exposed by these changes in how we store and access our data.  The SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) Framework introduced by Gartner in 2019 addresses some of the difficult challenges introduced by data living outside the bastion of our Data Centers.  There has been a lot of information, dis-information and discussion regarding how a SASE solution might be achieved.  Please join us for the Lumen view of what the SASE Framework really is, how we interpret its evolution since 2019, what some of the challenges for adoption might be,  and what an optimal SASE solution might actually look like.
