Board of Directors Welcomes Executive Deputy Comptroller Terri Crowley

During the October meeting, the Board of Directors voted to add Terri Crowley as a member of the Board.  Ms. Crowley was appointed Executive Deputy Comptroller for Operations in May, 2020 at  the New York State Office of the State Comptroller. Prior to joining the Office of the Comptroller, Ms. Crowley held several senior positions in both the public and the private sectors. She most recently was the Administrator of Hinman Straub Advisors, the government relations arm of Hinman Straub, one of Albany’s oldest law firms.  Before joining Hinman Straub, she was the Manager of State Government Relations for Consolidated Edison, one of the largest investor- owned energy companies in the United States. She also spent nearly 13 years working for the New York State Assembly as Legislative Coordinator to the Speaker. During this time, she oversaw several major policy areas for the Speaker including Lower Education, Higher Education, Transportation, Corporations, Governmental Operations, Consumer Affairs, Banks, Insurance and Housing.  She also worked for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Renewal and the New York State Executive branch.

Executive Deputy Comptroller Crowley is also an Adjunct Professor in the Center for Women in Government & Civil Society where she teaches a course on New York State government.  The Center is part of the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the State University of New York at Albany.

Ms. Crowley  was a awarded  a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree from State University of New York at  Cortland, a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Administration degree from Binghamton University and a Master of Business Administration from the State University of New York at Albany
