The Forum Welcomes NYS ITS Acting Chief Information Officer Jennifer Lorenz and NYS OGS Deputy Commissioner Moses Kamya, PhD. to the Board of DirectorsThe Forum is happy to announce two additions to its Board of Directors: Jennifer Lorenz, NYS ITS Acting Chief Information Officer and Moses Kamya, PhD, NYS OGS Deputy Commissioner of Shared Services.
Prior to her role as Deputy CIO for Operations, Jenn led the NYS ITS Chief Portfolio Office. Her technical expertise has led to numerous service improvements and statewide technology transformation efforts. She is a results-oriented leader who advocates for leveraging technology to solve business problems and create process efficiencies. Jenn has been with ITS since the agency’s inception in 2012. She previously served in the United States Air Force. Jenn holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Empire State College and an ITIL Foundations certification.
Mr. Kamya joined OGS from the NYS Office of the Attorney General, where he served as Chief Information Officer. In that role, he oversaw the consolidation of data center resources; implementation of a case management system, modernization of law practice technologies (eDiscovery) and established the Information Security and Project Management offices; managed and shepherded critical projects; and ushered the office through the emergency remote work transition during the COVID crisis. He was recognized by City & State as one of the 50 most influential leaders in the government technology sector in 2020. He serves at the University at Albany Center for Technology in Government Global Advisory Board. Mr. Kamya is a 2017 inductee in the New York IT Leadership Hall of Fame in recognition of his contributions to New York State. Mr. Kamya received a Ph.D., MA, and BA from the University of Albany. |
