Government Must View ESG in 3D

Environmental, social and governance has three different meanings in government. Public sector CIOs must handle all of them. Government agencies must serve as a watchdog over industries while taking care to reduce their own carbon footprint in terms of fleets and facilities usage. The third important component is for agencies to evaluate suppliers through an ESG perspective. Learn how government organizations around the world are deploying technology to assist their ESG efforts in these three areas.

Speaker Bio:
Keith Nelson, Senior Strategist for Global Public Sector, OpenText, has spent the last 24 years working in various roles in the U.S. Federal and state government. His most recent government appointment was in 2019, as Acting Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology, U.S. Department of Transportation. Other appointments include Assistant Secretary for Administration, Deputy Chief Information Officer, and Acting Chief Financial Officer and DOT, HUD and DOL. Keith also worked in state government for the Office of the Governor of Texas.
