Gabriel Castellanos –

As Associate Commissioner for the Bureau of Strategic Systems Innovation (BSSI) for the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) in New York, Gabriel Castellanos serves as the agency’s technology lead and provides oversight for all technology related projects. Gabriel has successfully deployed complex end-to-end systems which deliver value to all stakeholders, including the people of New York. He fosters effective and open communication and establishes governance structures to evaluate and prioritize demands. Gabriel is the key contact between OCFS, the New York State Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) and other stakeholders.

Gabriel earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Iteso University in Guadalajara, Mexico and is now a seasoned program manager and skilled leader with over 20 plus years of experience within the field of information technology. When he is not working, Gabriel enjoys volunteering at both of his daughter’s schools and at a local soup kitchen.
