Level: Beginner to Advanced

Session will discuss the use of generative AI tools, focusing on responsible and appropriate use. Topics will include ethical considerations, bias identification and mitigation, insights into effective prompting techniques to maximize the potential of generative AI, and how AI and innovative prompt strategies are employed for practical use cases in other state and local governments.

• Marcy Stevens – Chief General Counsel for the NYS Office of Information and Technology Services
• Eric Stern – Interim Director of the AI Plus Institute and Professor at the College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and Cybersecurity of the University at Albany
• Scott Stalker – Director of Analytics and the AI Architect for the NYS Office of Information and Technology Services, Chief Data Office
