Description: This session will discuss the benefits and challenges of implementing open data initiatives within state government. Participants will learn how to contribute to open data platforms that enhance transparency, encourage public engagement, and drive innovation. The session will include examples of successful open data projects and provide guidance on overcoming common obstacles.

Objectives: Explore the benefits of open data for government transparency and public engagement (FOIL requests), learn best practices for contributing to open data platforms, and case studies of successful open data initiatives in the public sector.
