As of September 6th, 2021 The NYS Forum has will be following the NYS Guidelines related to COVID-19 screening and social distancing procedures within our offices.  All those who choose to attend Forum sessions in-person are required to have a Covid-19 Vaccination or have had a negative Covid test. The NYS Forum also requests that any individuals attending in-person wear a mask when inside the building.  

 

Meghan Cook is the Program Director for CTG UAlbany, a Research Institute at the University at Albany/SUNY, Adjunct Professor at Nelson A. Rockefeller College of Public Affiars and Policy, Affiliate Faculty at Albany Law School and Advisor to the NYS Local Government IT Directors Association. With over 24 years of experience working on public sector innovation efforts, Meghan is considered an expert in digital government transformation.  At CTG UAlbany, Meghan leads multi sector and interdisciplinary innovation initiatives that build capability in public sector organizations throughout the world. Through a unique and collaborative process, Meghan works side by side with international, federal, state and local government leaders to produce new knowledge and actionable results. 

 

Meghan presides in many advisory roles including co-director of the Smart Cities Smart Government Research Practice Consortium and analyst for Intelligent Community Forum (ICF), a global organization. She has worked with US county and city Chief Information Officers as part of the Metropolitan Information Exchange, a national organization for local government CIOs.

 

She is a highly sought speaker and facilitator, having delivered over 250 thought-leadership and strategy development sessions for government leaders all over the world.  She has won several awards including Excelsior College’s Alumni Achievement Award and the SUNY Chancellor Award.  She serves as a reviewer for journals and conferences and has published numerous research and practice articles detailing how organizational capabilities, information policies, management practices, and technology choices intersect to shape government operations and services.
