Seb Formoso, Chief Information Officer New York City Department of Finance

Seb Formoso is an information technology executive with a long and proven record leading and managing all aspects of global IT organizations in a wide range of industries. His experience includes 25+ years leading and transforming information technology and systems for IBM, Konica, PepsiCo, Phillip Morris, Altria, Coca-Cola, Diageo, ServiceMaster, and PHH Mortgage.

As the NYC Department of Finance Chief Information Officer, Mr. Formoso is responsible for overseeing DOF’s IT systems and cyber security while providing solutions that meet the Agency’s objectives which include the collection of nearly $43 billion annual revenue for the City as well as administering exemption and abatement programs that provide $3.8 billion annually in tax relief to property owners and renters.

Since joining DOF he completed the implementation of NYC’s new Business Tax and Property Tax systems as well as first of a kind Parking Tix Payment Or Dispute mobile app. He is now working on the transformation of NYC Land Records thru the use of optical character recognition and the modernization of the NYC Sheriff’s systems.
